Why don't I take out the clients of Marketplace !!!


Almost all of us are more or less annoyed with the marketplace charges. When I woke up in the morning and saw a post, I thought how much I was talking about it.


Fiber charges 20% on all income, which is undoubtedly a very high rate. And it is natural to try to save 20% of this cost. But even then I would say, if you don't have a planned strategy, don't take the client out just to save 20%. Because, by spending this 20%, we get a lot of fundamental benefits. Which is not available otherwise (for newcomers). Even if you spend more than 20%, it is difficult to get these services / benefits (outside the marketplace).


What are the benefits of taking orders in the marketplace?

Your brand value is growing

Payment is secure (except for the client

Big budget orders have a huge impact on gig rank ***

Keeping the path of future income smooth

Creating a portfolio

Reviews are growing, client confidence is growing

The ID is secure

The faster you get rank / level, the more income is increasing


One thing needs to be clarified:

In recent times, there has been an emphasis on reducing over-reliance on the marketplace (which has always been the case). Now at this point many are taking the wrong message. Thinking you can reduce the dependency by bringing out the customers of the marketplace !!! That's the mistake ...

Bringing out customers from Marketplace means you are dependent on Marketplace. Now if your ID is banned, where will you get new clients? Will you close the business?

Rather, it is an attempt to say that you have acquired the skill to find your own client. Create your own brand. Creates the client portfolio.

Transform your service into a product. Determine service scope, price, add-on, after-sale-service. Market that product with your own brand.


Some ethical positions

Apart from this, there are some issues of moral concern. Suppose you went to eat at a five-star restaurant. You know the price of food there is very high, you even know the price of any food. Now you have escaped by stealing a lot without paying the bill. How is the business! This is what happens if we divide the client in the greed to save 20% from fiber. Escape without paying one's dues.


My strategy:

Wherever I find clients, so far there is no payment in the marketplace

20% of cost saved by taking client in reference (I don't have this facility)

In order to facilitate communication with the clients of the marketplace, I often talk outside the marketplace, but even if the client wants, there is no payment outside. Remind the client of the rules of the marketplace (to discourage). Needless to say, the service I provide requires 100% client Gmail ID. So I have everyone's contact.

20% never had a headache. There are many other important things to do to get a headache. However, in this case, the rules of upwork are extraordinary. That is why they are market leaders.

Need to do your own branding. You have to go with 2-3 years of preparation. Nothing will happen overnight, either. Success means where you are after 10-15 years. Earned 10-20 thousand dollars does not mean success.
